Habitat: Epiphytic on trees in evergreen, lowland forest

Distribution:  Southern Western Ghats (Kerala) (Endemic)

Flowering and Fruiting: June-September

Key identification features: Epiphytic herbs with creeping rhizomes, these plants have pseudobulbs. The solitary leaves are erect, oblong, and thick, with a deep channel in the middle region. The petiole is short. The inflorescence emerges from the base of the pseudobulbs and is longer than the leaf.

Use: A paste made from the pseudobulbs and the leaves is used as a poultice to treat burns
