Habit: Climbing Shrub

Habitat: Along stream banks in the plains and shola forests

Flowering & Fruiting: August-April

Distribution: India, Yemen, Africa, Hawaiian Islands

Key identification features: Climbing shrubs. Leaves trifoliolate; leaflets broadly ovate, acute or shortly acuminate. Flowers in axillary racemes. Calyx hispid without, bilipped, tube c. 8 mm long, upper lip 2-lobed, lower 3-toothed. Petals lilac, keels, curved. Staminal tube glabrous, anthers uniform. Pods flat, apiculate, pubescent.
