Thunbergia grandiflora Roxb.

Synonym: Pleuremidis grandiflora (Roxb.) Raf., Flemingia grandiflora Roxb. ex Rottler

Habit: Climber

Habitat: Cultivated

Distribution: India, Myanmar, Indo-China, South China

Flowering & Fruiting: April - June. Fruit ripen in cold weather

Key identification features: A large climber, leaves ovate or orbicular. Flowers large, bluish-white in receme. Capsule small with 4 quetrous back. It is common in all types of forests in the state

Uses: Used as a medicinal plant, a green manure, for poles, hedges and for fuelwood.
