Habit: Herb

Habitat: Wet areas, drying pools, wet rocks, stream edges.

Flowering & Fruiting: October-December

Distribution: Peninsular India

Key identification features: Erect tufted slender herbs. Leaves, linear, filiform, semiterete, apex acuminate. Panicles terminal, lax, longer than leaves, branches capillary; peduncles reddish, Flowers blue. Petals blue, Capsule subglobose or ovoid, angular. Seeds 2-seriate, 6-8 in each cell, smooth, compressed.
