Vernacular name: Aattuvanchi, Karappongu, Korathi, Kurappunna

Habit: Tree

Habitat: Along river banks in semi-evergreen and Evergreen forests

Distribution: Southern Western Ghats

Flowering & Fruiting: February-April

Key identification features: Leaves even-pinnate, stipules foliaceous, coriaceous. Racemes  corymbiform, axillary and cauline. Pods oblanceate, brownish- velvetty. Seeds  discoid     

Uses: Medicine, Wood
