Key identification features: It is a strong woody plant, climbing trees. Branchlets are pale gray. Flower cymes are like panicles, shorter than leaves. Flowers are greenish yellow or yellow-white. Seed pod is cylindric. Seeds are brownish, ovate-oblong.
Uses: Stem and
root powder is used to heal wounds and ulcers. Root is demulcent, alterative, tonic and is useful in loss of appetite,
fever and skin diseases.
