Synonym: Cassia kleinii Wight & Arn.

Vernacular name: Klein's Dwarf Senna

Habit: Herb

Habitat: Dry and moist deciduous forests, also in the plains

Distribution: India and Sri Lanka

Flowering and Fruiting: November-March

Key identification features: Prostrate herbs, puberulus. Flowers axillary, 1-3, yellow; Pod flat, hairy, thickened on the sutures.

Uses: Root extracts are taken orally in diabetes.
