Key identification features: Pubescent twiners. Leaves 3-foliolate; ovate or elliptic, Racemes axillary, 5-8-flowered; Flowers violet; fruit is a pods which is linear, compressed with 4-raised ribs near sutures, 15-18 seeded. Seeds are oblong, brown with darker mottling.
Uses:
It is widely used as forage and a source of protein to
grazing cattle.
