Habitat: Evergreen forests

Distribution: Western Ghats

Flowering & Fruiting: November-June

Key identification features: Leaves coriaceous obove, acute, base cuneate, rigidly coriaceous.  Bark rough. Flowers short axillary and panicles. Fruit ellipsoid, greenish purple, smooth.

Uses: Timber yielding
