Key identification features: Erect woody annual herbs with glandular pubescent. The leaves are 3-5(-7)-foliolate, and the flowers are yellow and few-flowered. Capsules are linear-oblong and densely glandular hairy. Seeds many, reniform, transversely ridged, reddish-brown.
Uses:
The bitter leaves are eaten fresh, dried or cooked. Seeds are used as a
condiment. Leaves and seeds are used to treat infections, fever, rheumatism and
headaches.
