Ficus auriculata Lour.

Synonym: Ficus beipeiensis S.S.Chang 

Vernacular names: Atthi

Habit: Tree

Habitat: Moist deciduous forests.

Distribution: Pakistan to S. China and Peninsula Malaysia

Flowering and fruiting: April - June

Key identification features: It is a small tree with brownish, hollow branchlets that exude milky latex. Its leaves are simple, alternate, and orbicular-ovate, cm. The figs grow directly on short shoots from the trunk or main branches and are subtended by 3 ovate basal bracts. The figs themselves are turbinate, ribbed, and covered in brown hairs .

 Uses: Fruits are edible. Bark yields a coarse fiber and is used in the preparation of medicine for hydrophobia.
