Habitat: Deciduous and scrub forests

Distribution: Indo-Malesia

Flowering and Fruiting: March-October

Key identification features: It is a shrubs or trees. The leaves are ovate or elliptic and are membranous, often pubescent. The corolla is white and pubescent, The anthers narrowly ovate, and have a rounded base. The follicles are linear.

Uses: Medicinally to treat amoebic dysentry and as a low quality timber.
