Vernacular name: Chenkurinji, Thodappa

Habit: Tree

Habitat: Evergreen forests

Distribution: Southern Western Ghats

Flowering & Fruiting: March-January

Key identification features: Large tree with smooth, pinkish-grey bark. Spathulate leaves and cream-coloured flowers. The bark is  smooth, pinkish grey.      

Uses: Timber
