Key identification features: Subshrubs
with tomentose branchlets and leaves that are simple, alternate, and crenate,
with a white tomentose underside. They have yellow, axillary cymes with five
flowers, oblong sepals, and obovate petals. The plant has 10 stamens. Fruit is
a capsule.
Uses: An infusion of the leaf is drunk to
treat colic and diarrhoea, A leaf maceration is used as an eye bath for
treatment of eye problems.
