Key Identification Features –This
subshrub has simple, opposite leaves that are elliptic, acute at both ends, and
usually crowded toward the apex. The flowers are numerous, densely packed, and
have yellow to orange corollas. Stamens are inserted in the middle of the
corolla tube, and the ovary is oblong with four seeds in the capsule.
