plant of India. Tulsi is a branched, fragrant and erect herb having hair all
over. These are aromatic because of the presence of a kind of scented oil in
them. Tulsi flowers are small having purple to reddish color, present in small
compact clusters on cylindrical spikes.
Uses:
The
juice of leaves possesses diaphoretic, antiperiodic, stimulating and
expectorant properties, aiding cough, asthma, diarrhea, fever, dysentery,
arthritis, eye diseases, indigestion, gastric ailments.
