Key identification features: It is a stout climber, characterized by an old stem adorned with strong
thorns and a thick clavate base.
The leaves are paripinnate. Each
leaflet is ovate, and acuminate, with a smooth surface. The
rachis bears robust curved thorns.
The racemes are clustered with yellow flowers, irregular in shape.
The pod is flattened, oblong.
