 Habit: Tree

Habitat: Evergreen forests and sacred groves

Distribution:  Indo-Malesia

Flowering & Fruiting: November-July

Key identification features: The tree stands has a buttressed bole. Its bark is yellowish-brown, mottled with white, and smooth. The leaves are simple, arranged opposite or subopposite. The tree produces pinkish to dull red flowers. The flowers grow in lax axillary or terminal dichasial cymes. The tree’s fruit is a capsule. The capsule is brown and smooth.

Uses: Used as timber
