Synonym: Balsamina minor DC.

Habit: Herb

Habitat: Moist deciduous and semi-evergreen forests, also scrub jungles and sacred groves in the plains

Distribution: Asia: India.

Flowering and Fruiting: August-December

Key identification features: Slender glabrous branched herbs. Leaves elliptic-lanceolate, or oblong-obovate, acute or acuminate, base acute, serrulate. Flowers pink-violet, deflexed in fruits. Capsule linear, seeds black.
