Key identification features: This herb features weak, upright stems
with numerous leaves arranged alternately along the stem. The flowers are
either mauve or pinkish-purple in clusters of 3 to 15 on glandular racemes that
are positioned axillary, terminal, or opposite the leaves. The plant produces a
broadly oblong capsule.
Uses: In some traditional practices, the mucilaginous secretions
produced by the leaves of Drosera indica have been applied topically to wounds
or burns to promote healing and relieve inflammation.
