It has obovate leaflets. The racemes bears 3 to 5 yellow flowers.The standard
petal is retuse, with auricles, and is yellow with red streaks. The wings are
obovate, and the keel is curved to one side.
Uses: The seeds of Cajanus rugosus are
edible and can be consumed after cooking. They are cultivated as a staple food
crop.
