Habit: Tree

Habitat: Evergreen and semi-evergreen forests, also grown as ornamental tree

Distribution: Africa, India and Sri Lanka

Flowering & Fruiting: October-April

Key identification features: A moderate-sized evergreen tree up to 15 m tall. Leaves are imparipinnate; leaflets are about 12 pairs, with prominent wings along the main leaf stalk. Flowers are greenish in panicles. Drupe is dark purple.

Uses: Utilized in traditional medicine to address ailments such as digestive issues, skin conditions, and respiratory problems.
