Habit: Shrub

Habitat: Semi-evergreen and moist deciduous forests, also in the plains

Distribution: Paleotropics

Flowering and Fruiting: November-January

Key identification features: Erect shrubs; branchlets trigonous, adpressed tomentose. Racemes axillary, clustered or single, Flowers reddish; Pods oblong, turgid, covered with powdery red coating.

Uses: Flemingia macrophylla is primarily grown as a forage crop for livestock
