Key identification features: It is a herb with leaves that are
arranged oppositely and distichously. The cyathia are found in clusters at the
leaf axils. The male flowers are few, ranging from one to four, and lack
bracts. The female flower hangs to the side and has a hairy ovary. The style
begins divided into three from the base. The fruit is a capsule.
Uses: The milky latex is used to cure ringworm by Bodo tribe. The bruised fresh plant is applied.
