Habitat: Deciduous forests, also in forest plantations and plains

Distribution: India, Sri Lanka, China, Africa and Madagascar

Flowering and Fruiting: August-December

Key identification features: Tall herbs. Leaves lower ones lyrate pinnatifid, elliptic-oblanceolate. Racemes terminal; flowers yellow, Achenes brown; pappus numerous, white.

Uses: To treat indigestion, stomachache, and wound
